Memorial Day BBQ Options
So here comes the weekend!!!! 3 days of sun, BBQ's, and friends.........but what to wear? If you're a fashion head like me you've been planning casual outfits for a couple weeks now but most people are not that obsessed! I struggle with "casual" dressing because I love to dress fancy and that comes natural. I would much rather dress for work or going out than for a BBQ....BUT, there are soooo many cute spring/summer weekend dresses out there now that I might just go to random parties.....invite or not! hehehehe. The big trends right now for summer, 70's hippie, safari meets city, Hampton prep. 3 very different but distinct styles which makes summer dressing very interesting and anything but boring. Consider these options and feel the vibe............

Brings me back.............
The Slubby Tulip Dress by Deletta has brought me back to blog (life). So busy lately that I have been neglecting my blogging duties............I love this dress! I have been dreaming of the day when this is in my closet.....safe and sound! It's available at Anthropologie now. I have tried it on and it's everything I've hoped for and more. Flattering in all the right spots and complete coverage for the girls. Ok, ok, your thinking, "why didn't you buy it?" Well, it's pricey and according to my husband..............I have exceeded my clothing allowance for the year!!!!! lol. I'll let you know when it's mine! Here's how I will wear this: Boho necklace........feather or turquoise, of course and sandals................or I'd pair it with a blazer (white would be chic), long cardigan, blue button-up- light-weight- denim shirt! In the mean time...............dream.

Valentines Day Outfits - Dress me in Red!
AHHH romance is in the air............our favorite "holiday" is approaching so what will you wear??? Let me guess............RED? Valentines Day happens to fall very close to my birthday and so often I am celebrating that instead of wining and dining with my hubby..........but not this year! We are planning on dressing up and going out with all of the other "madly-in-love" couples however, I want to be the envy of every one's eye! (well at least my outfit will be...) Check out some of these great options................still time to shop!
Thoughts:
-Is it too cliche to wear Red out on V-day? Yes! But I think that everyone should own a red dress no matter what time of year it is. I think the problem is that women save their red dress to wear only on this holiday and that's a shame because red is romantic, bold, sexy, and classic all year. That being said, be the cliche just don't go overboard.
-Beware: Red/pink can look like a costume. I think that women need to pay attention to just how much red/pink they wear. Unlike black, head to toe red is too much. I wouldn't think twice to wear all black; black dress, tights, and shoes (with a pop of color/sparkle in my bag, of course) It looks chic and classy but in my opinion, that does not apply to this color especially on this day. Break it up ladies try wearing red dress with nude color shoes or just a red pencil skirt with navy accents.
