SALE SALE SALE!!!!

AHHHHH my favorite words......well it's mid-summer and that means..........move over summer wear and make room for fall!!! Yes, it is a bit depressing knowing that summer is half over BUT deep summer discounts should cheer you up! It's that time when stores are trying to move their inventory to get ready for "back-to-school" clothes; fall! In this post I want to highlight some pieces on sale that are both universally flattering and can mix into your wardrobe with fall pieces. Happy shopping!

Above Dress Macy's: Michael Kors Cinched Waist-Was $129.50 now $89. Note: Also comes in navy blue. Now this dress is still a bit pricey................hello it's MK............but the CUT is what I like here. You can find a dress on sale that looks like this on a budget. It is flattering for everyone. The v-neck accomodates a fuller bust and the cinched waist hides any "imperfections"....PLUS the drapy bottom hides a drapy bottom!!!!

The limited: Classic Sophisticate Jacket/Blazer was $198 now $89.99. Every women NEEDS at least 1 great fitted blazer to complete their wardrobe. This is a very simple but classic one that will last for years. Blazers are very "in" (when were they "out"?) But it's how you pair them that makes an outfit chic! Wear them over ANYTHING......with shorts and a t-shirt to a great silk top!!! I like blazers that have a bit of spandex because they hold their shape and help to "lock-n-load" everything.

Banana Republic Classic Pencil Skirt: Was $59.50 now $34.99. Don't be scared! Pencil skirts are flattering on most body types......If you are a little bigger on bottom look for a pencil skirt that has a straighter cut from the widest part of your body down. I like this one because it has a wider waist band which helps to conceal a not-so-flat tummy. Great staple that can be worn year-round!

JCrew: Downtown Denim Trouser in clean rinse. Was $108 now $69.99. The trouser is and SHOULD definately a staple in your closet. This cut/style flatters EVERYONE'S body type!!! It's dressy enough for work and an evening out. When paired with a t-shirt or tank, it's perfect for day-time running errands. This will NEVER go out of style plus it can be worn year-round.....invest!

Fashion Fun!!!

Hi all! I want to tell you about one of my favorite addictions.............no not Bud Light............it's a website that allows you to share looks that you create with other fashionistas! The website is http://www.looklet.com/ and I can spend hours on it. Now you can be a stylist (virtual) with 1000's of designer clothes and accessories to choose from (all current). You can pick a model and background also! After creating an account, you can save your looks and browse through other looks that were created by other users. The website allows you to vote on looks that you like and "remix" ones you don't. The best part is...no unwanted email spam from this company; they will not contact you. The picture is an example of a look I created............my "secret" allias is Bella! Try it out!

There are sooo many ways; from simply draping around your neck to wrapping around your waist and even tying one around your head! There are so many ways..........here are a few examples from some celebs to consider! Oh-very important............keep the fabric soft and light weight and your patterns spring and summer colors; nothing too heavy! Oh and one more thing........there are soooo many options that are cute and affordable! You don't need to brake the bank...........but it would be nice to have a Hermes or Burberry wrapped around your body! Ohhhh someday!

mommy looks

SO I was at the mall the other day and saw a woman who optimizes summer style............all in white with a pop of color (red) in her faux croc bag! She wore white cargo Capri pants with a simple white tank top that had some lace cut-out detail. She carried a bright red messenger bag with a pair of simple flats!!!! Her outfit was very easy and effortless and would be perfect for busy mom's on-the-go. Very chic but simple; not to mention super cute and comfortable! I have talked to many moms and they all have the same style concerns of how to look fashionable while chasing after a little one. Here are some ideas that are not only cute but affordable.
Mommy budget friendly options to consider (pics):
Old Navy draw string $22
Old Navy cotton “tank” $15
Old Navy t-strap with some style $19
Old Navy – Cute “mom” bag – big enough to carry diapers and wipes $12
